VI Base Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Konselit ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in
connection with the VI Base mobile application for Android and iOS (package
com.konselit.vibase).
1. Overview
VI Base is a content and utility app related to GTA VI information, including a curated feed, reference database content, and optional notifications. To operate the app we use first-party backend services and third-party advertising and messaging providers.
This policy is intended to explain our practices in plain language. It is not legal advice and does not create contractual guarantees beyond what is required by applicable law.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use VI Base, we may process:
- App technical data needed to run the service (for example platform, app version, and build version).
- First-party usage analytics described below (installation UUID and lightweight activity signals).
- Push notification tokens when notifications are enabled.
- Feed and content interactions that are necessary to load remote content from our backend.
- Advertising-related data processed by third-party ad providers according to their own policies and any applicable consent choices.
VI Base does not require an account to use core features, and we do not ask for your email address for first-party analytics.
3. First-party analytics
VI Base collects lightweight first-party install and usage analytics so we can understand how many installations open the app and how often it is used. This is our own telemetry, not Google Play Console analytics.
We may collect:
- a randomly generated installation UUID
- platform (Android or iOS)
- app version and build version
- first-seen and last-seen timestamps
- daily app activity records
- session counts
The installation UUID is generated locally on the device. It is stored in normal app-local storage and may be regenerated after you uninstall and reinstall the app. It is not used as a login credential.
For this first-party analytics system, VI Base does not collect:
- Advertising ID
- IMEI
- phone number
- precise location
- contacts
- email address
- hardware fingerprints
- other personally identifying device identifiers
Analytics processing is designed to be lightweight and is not intended to track every screen view or every tap inside the app.
4. Push notifications
If you allow notifications, VI Base may store a push notification token (for example a Firebase Cloud Messaging or Expo push token) together with limited technical metadata such as platform, app version, and notification preference flags.
These tokens are technical identifiers used to deliver notifications to your device. They are not used as a substitute for a personal account. You can usually revoke notification permission in your device settings.
5. Advertising
VI Base displays advertisements to support the app. Advertising is delivered through third-party providers, which currently include:
- Google AdMob (including App Open ads and Google bidding through Unity LevelPlay)
- Unity LevelPlay / ironSource (including interstitial ads, native ads, and mediation)
- Meta Audience Network (integrated through LevelPlay)
These providers may process device, advertising, interaction, and diagnostic information according to their own policies and applicable consent choices. We do not control every data practice of those providers.
For more detail, please review:
6. Consent and advertising choices
Where required by applicable law, VI Base may present a consent or privacy choices interface for advertising. VI Base may use Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) or other certified consent mechanisms where required.
Your advertising choices may affect whether personalized or non-personalized ads are shown. Availability of specific controls can vary by region, device, OS version, and provider requirements.
7. How we use information
We use the information described in this policy to:
- operate and improve VI Base
- deliver feed and backend content
- measure observed installs and aggregate usage
- send notifications you have enabled
- show ads and support mediation
- diagnose technical issues and maintain security
- respond to privacy or support requests
8. Retention
We retain first-party analytics and push token records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, measure usage, deliver notifications, and meet technical, security, or legal requirements. Local installation identifiers may be removed when you uninstall the app or clear app data.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
VI Base is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a way that is not permitted, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Your rights and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to information we hold about you, request deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the applicable legal basis.
VI Base may not expose every privacy control inside the app UI. To make a privacy request, contact the publisher using the details below. We may need enough information to verify your request and locate relevant records. Some advertising or device-level choices may also need to be managed through your device settings or the advertising provider’s tools.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of VI Base after an update means the revised policy applies to subsequent use, except where a different notice is required by law.
